Wishtank is a magazine published on the Web at www.wishtank.org and will be printing annual volumes of its archives in book format.
Our purpose is to produce a magazine for free-thinking humans with compassion for the global community and an interest in meaningful expression. The magazine will work to communicate — not persuade — with the hope that readers will leave each issue wiser to the world in which they live.
Wishtank consists of two sections — Magazine and Editor’s Blog.
The Magazine consists of essays, interviews, memoir and fiction from Wishtank Publishing.
The Editor’s Blog is a collection of notes from our daily research and links to quality resources that we publish every week.

Founding Editor: Garrett Heaney is from the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. He has been a professional editor for the past five years and worked at two publications, including an international brewing magazine. He quit that job in 2006 so that he could focus on the production of his own publishing ventures. Since then, he has nurtured bonds with the most intelligent people he knows in order to build Wishtank.

Creative Director, Web Designer: Charles Choiniere is the founder of Back Brain Media, an internet marketing and Web design firm. He is from the Northeast Kindom and currently lives in the city of Burlington. Most of his Web knowledge is self taught, but he is currently pursuing a degree in Web Design. Charles is also a professional black and white photographer, dedicated to analog mediums.

Director of Research: Justin Boland is a native Vermonter and proud graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy. He has been doing independent research on how to improve life on planet Earth for all humanity for the past six years of his life. He makes music in nearly every genre, and enjoys exploring altered states of consciousness in his free time. He also publishes our sister publications Brainsturbator dot com and Skilluminati Research.

Culture Author: Astrid Lium is a Vermonter by birth, spending her formative years in the Northeast Kingdom. Astrid attended McGill University in Montreal before heading east to reside in Tokyo. She is fortunate to travel the globe extensively and considers herself a citizen of the world. Astrid’s wishes are to see, experience and share as much of planet Earth as possible while she’s here. When Wishtank debuted she was knee deep in Europe.

Philosophy Author: Dan Briggs hails from the Northeast Kingdom and currently lives in Bar Harbor, Maine. He is a recent graduate of Bennington College, where he completed a philosophy thesis on Heidegger and the body. “Dan Briggs Live” is a stage production that incorporates poetry, dance, nudity, and tragedy.

Visual Arts Author: John Stevens was born in the relative farmland west of Philadelphia. He attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York. There he studied chemistry (his major), philosophy, logic and language. In school, he also met Spencer Ford of Mosquitoville, Vermont, a close friend of Garrett Heaney, and feature contributor to Wishtank. John is an artist himself and his mother is connected to a gallery in Philly.
