Wishtank's goal is to present ideas to our readers in an accessible manner. In order to ensure this, clarity of language is the foundation of our editorial mission. We do not support the use of language merely for aesthetic ends. The words that make up our sentences must be purposeful, and the sentences that make up our paragraphs must express clear, muddle-free meaning.
As part of the mission of Wishtank, we also seek to educate rather than persuade. We do not publish opinion-based writing, we simply strive to present meaningful information that will benefit our reader's mind — not necessarily change it. That being said, the credibility of our magazine rests in the facts that we present, so it is our editorial responsibility to verify the words on our pages. The role of our authors is to realize before they take on a story, that when dealing in fact, they must make every effort to collect credible information from honest sources. While there is no steadfast rule for story length, we anticipate an average word-count of 3,000-5,000 words, with some articles running as long as 10,000.

Finally, we here at Wishtank value our sense of community, and whether you are a first time author with us, or a regular columnist, we invite dialogue whenever useful. If you are working on a story and have questions, we welcome you to contact our editorial staff and engage in conversation. We find that this approach, while more involved than most publications, strengthens our articles and creates a more enjoyable writing experience.

Wishtank does not charge you for anything. We will publish this magazine online for free, forever. We would like to remain advertisement free, but this depends on people like you. We're not proud, and we'll gladly accept donations. One of our goals is to produce short runs of each issue in a print medium. We currently print between 20 and 50 copies of each issue that we present as gifts to publishers and establishments that we respect. We do not charge for these either, but unfortunately, the printers we get them from do. We would like to be in the position to print larger quantities of this journal to circulate around the globe, but we do not have the funds to do it on our own.
